Pistons Magic Number Sits at 2

Rasheed says the team will play with more intensity now that the playoffs are coming up

The Pistons travel to NYC tonight to face the struggling Knicks. They need only a combination of 2 wins or Bobcat losses to clinch a playoff spot. A win tonight would almost make the playoffs an almost certainty. Pistons players talk about the playoffs as if that will change things, I guess we will see.

The Pistons will first need to prove that they care, and in turn play harder on defense. Throughout the season the Pistons have struggled to keep perimeter players out of the paint, and their interior defenders have provided far too little resistance. If the Pistons really are going into playoff mode, tonight's game should be no contest. I for one am doubting much change this late in the season.
